Is This a Pip?

@maxride14 - that is awesome...I was stressed for you too and waiting for the update. Great job!!!

I just had to open my incubator because I had a chick stuck in the space where the turning mechanism is for my egg turner (which is disconnected of course) I am at 3 hatchlings of probably 8-10 fertile eggs. I had to lift the lid quickly and swoop it out at the same time I placed some precut foam in the space to prevent it from happening again. I am hoping I didn't shrink wrap any of mine saving the one that was stuck. Gosh, I am not sure I can handle this stress...I am going natural from here out!

Haha I didn't expect this when I decided to start quail. I also noticed two other eggs moving and candled one. I see the membrane near the air sac and a bump... hoping that's his head so he's in the right spot

His feet look a little bent so I can't tell if that's just because he's been in his shell for a while... once he's ready to go to the brooder (sometime tonight) I'm going to try to gently straighten them out.

Here's a picture. One foot is less curled up than the other, and he is starting to try walking around.

Since he's upright there's a better chance he'll make it. You'll need to straighten those toes out by putting tape under and on top of them, making a little boot.... if he doesn't end up walking normal on his own....

Like regular clear tape? I think I'll do it once I move him to the brooder since he seems to be making good progress so far.
