So I have been holding out hope that Crazy Mabel is still a hen, but I'm not too sure. Yesterday morning I was walking out to the coop to let them out for the day at like 5:30 AM, and I heard her/him crow. But it was a pretty pathetic crow, it didn't sound like the typical "cock a doodle" do you know what I mean, it was more like "doooooooooooo". But that was the only morning he/she has done it. She/he doesn't act like a roo either from everything I have read on this site. Take a look and let me know what you think.

the tail and those pointed feathers, also one thing ive noticed with mine is that the roos will develop those beatle green feathers a few weeks before the hens will( if the breed has that coloration).

looks just like my female golden laced that i ordered.. who is now crowing.. ooooops they sent the wrong sex lol. it is definately a male. not too bad i ordered 22 hens and got one male mixed in with the bunch
