Is this a rooster or a pullet barred rock

I took some new pictures of my barred rock chick I’m guessing about 3 weeks old can anyone help me figure out if it’s a pullet or rooster I’m really hoping for a pullet

Based on the feathers I’d say pullet. Roos have more white in their pattern.

How can you tell it’s a pullet I keep getting paranoid that it’s a rooster my other chick turned into a rooster I’m to attached now to this one

some breeds, once the chicks are a little older, you can tell by their feather patterns. this chick's comb is small and pale, that means its a girl. If its comb was larger and brighter, it would be a boy.

I agree that it looks to me like you've got a girl based on the headspot and the dark feathering. But are you sure she's a barred rock? It might be the lighting in the photos, but those legs look pink (cuckoo marans) rather than yellow (barred rock) to me. Either way, I think you've got eggs in your future.
