Is this a ROOSTER? *PICS*

They may have had to send two extras because the minimum for your area may have been 5 chicks and not 3. normally the minimum for my area is 3, but since the weather has been cooler, they made me order 7 this time. Please try to contact MPC again, while trying to maintain your cool. (also they don't open until 10am). Whenever there has been something strange about an order, they have always been more than willing to help me out.

They have been willing to help me out, but they did make a couple of major mistakes. I live in the LA area and I was suppose to receive 3, not 5. They are sent me 3 roosters when I had ordered 3 females. And, to top it off, one of my roosters (in which I probably can't find a good home for), has a severe crossed beak.

Just curious, but doesn't mypetchicken charge quite a hefty price for sexed pullet chicks? Nice of them for refunding you for your whole order + shipping though, which means your two pullets were free!

I would imagine they knew the packing peanuts could be little roos though, and since they were free to begin with I wouldn't expect any more compensation from them.

They refunded me for 3 of my order + shipping. And no, they didn't change me a hefty price, just $2.75 each. And mpc promises that they never "throw in" roosters, and a 90% guarantee that if you order females. Oh well.

Craigslist, BST trade (here) over 8 weeks, Eggbid, and Ovabid. The last two are online auctions.

Could someone please post a link? I can't seem to find it. Thanks!

$2.75 isn't a bad price for sexed pullets... it must have been another place I was looking at that charged close to $10 for a sexed pullet. If I paid that kind of money for a pullet, it sure has heck had better be a pullet!

In your situation, try to look at it like this... you paid for 3 birds + shipping. They refunded you for 3 birds + shipping. So, if you have do 2 pullets, then they turned out to be free. Don't know about you but it would help me to look at it that way.

Will you be able to keep one of the boys?

No, we can't keep any of the boys. The neighbors would not approve. I really wanted 3 females, but now I am down to only 2, and that sucks.
