I'm pretty confident it's a cockerel judging by what appears to be a triple rowed pea comb that's large and red.

I'm in the cockerel camp. Depending on where you got it, it could be someone's Super Blue Egg Layer or Sapphire bird, it really looks like a mix of Leghorn and EE. But I highly doubt that bird will ever lay eggs, sorry.

Yes,a rooster,no doubt with that big and red of a comb at this age.

It is a Barred Plymouth Rock cockerel.

Cockerel. That barring is male specific, as is the very red comb, at that age.
