Is this a safe solution for impacted crop?

I have a chicken with an impacted crop. I found a youtube video

that said to make a mixture of baking soda, water, lemon juice, and some herbs. Before I used it on my chicken, I wanted to make sure it was safe and wouldn't hurt her. I know to inject it in her mouth slowly so that it doesn't hurt her, but I don't want to hurt her more than she already is. Also, is there anything better that I should be doing to get rid of the impaction?

Update: This morning when I went down to the chicken coop, I brought down a syringe filled with oil and managed to get about 5ml down her throat. I massaged her craw gently from the bottom up for about a minute. Then, I brought her up to the house and put her down on the floor so I could watch her while I did other stuff. I also put a watermelon on the ground for her. After about an hour, she pooped. A few times actually. I felt her crop and there was less food in there than before. So, I let her back outside but didn't give her access to the chicken feed. I think I will wait until her craw is completely empty before I give her more food.

I use oil for an impacted crop and it usually works well to soften the contents of the crop so a gentle massage can help the crop to empty. If the impaction is more stubborn, I use Dulcolax stool softener.

You can try the ingredients mentioned in this video, but the safety of using baking soda with an acid like lemon juice concerns me. It releases a gas that could cause expansion of an otherwise stuffed crop, potentially making the problem worse or more dangerous, rupturing something. Perhaps citric acid is too weak to interact with baking soda, but I wouldn't take the risk myself.

The amateur scientist in me just thought of doing a quick experiment with lemon juice and baking soda. I dumped a little baking soda in a plastic cup and poured a bit of lemon juice over it. As the two ingredients combined, there was an immediate creation of CO2 gas and intense bubbling, exactly as you get when you combine hydrochloric acid (vinegar) and baking soda.

I now know for certain what would happen in a chicken's crop should I pour these ingredients into it. I won't ever be doing it. But I wouldn't hesitate to use this combo as a clogged drain remedy.

Please don’t use a stool softener that has a STIMULANT. In it gotta look close and read those labels. I delt with sour crop. I guess that recipe would be okay. Start simple. Massage and manipulating the crop. You give grit right?
Pull up all feed and water tonight after they go to sleep. Check the crop first thing in the morning. It should empty. If not offer yogurt. Massage. A stool softener is a good idea too.
Massage the crop as often as you can. If the breath becomes randcid smelling then vomiting the bird might be necessary but I wouldn’t suggest that right away. If done improperly the end results are not so good.
