Omg hdowden, I'm seriously in love with your Millie Fleur oegb!! I love little japanese/oegb/seabright/serama type bantams & I love Millie Fleur D'Uccles & I had no idea you could get any the types of bantams I mentioned in that color. He is absolutely beautiful! Do you have more of his kind or do you ever sell hatching eggs? If not but you can I'm going to try my butt off to persuade you lol, I'm in awwww

I just built (ok maybe my husband) a new chicken coop thats heated/air conditioned & I've been deciding on what bantam breed I want & I think I found one of the 2! If there's no way for you to sell hatching eggs of his breed, do know someone who does? I would absolutely love some. You've got me biting my nails now haha

Also jm93030, your boy is handsome whatever breed he is...my favorites are those "type" of bantams

Can someone tell me what the differences are in look between an oeg and a Japanese bantam? I fail at breed IDs.

oegb usally are dubbed (they have no comb, wattles, or earlobs)

japanese hold their tails more upright and higher and are not dubbed.

if that helps any lol

Old English should hold the tail at about a 45 degree angle. The Japanese holds the tail much higher. Japanese also have a gene that causes some of them to have very short legs, so that they look like they are sitting down even when standing up.

That helps a lot. Thanks Steph and Hdowden! The comb will probably be the easiest thing for me to look for, with the Japanese apparently having evenly serrated, and the OEGs having dubbed or uneven five point comb.
