Well if you ordered Ameraucanas then you got Ameraucanas unless they told you otherwise.

Not always true as some advertise EE as Ameraucanas. This bird is indeed an Ameraucana.

Yes I know that some hatcheries advertise their Easter Eggers as Ameraucanas, but the op mentioned that they got the cockerel from My Pet Chicken-one of the few hatcheries that sells true Ameraucanas.

I ordered mine from Cackle and two of the cockerels had the tannish feathers, so they visited the freezer farm.
