Is this a tumor or some type of disease?

I don't know what to say, I'm only trying to help. Try a course of antibiotics, if its an infection, it may help.
i truly appreciate your help and information! it is just so hard to determine these things, all the information you have given me is very educational and helped me alot. Thank you! i went out again to see if she would eat some oatmeal, and she did eat a bit, but she does not like being away from the other girls, she was tring to find a way back in to them from the storage side of the coop/shed. so i let her back in with them and just gave them all the rest of the oatmeal. i did notice that it has bled a little so maybe it is just an irritation or infection, she scratches at it too whic tells me it may be irritated or itchy, could be a sign of infection as well. i have one more resource, a guy my DH works with has had chickens for many years and so he may have some insight also. i will keep posting until either she gets better or i cull her.

i decided not to cull her as i said, i am going to Cal Ranch today to get some antibiotics because my daughter said she saw puss coming out of it. I don't want to aggrivate it anymore, but should i let it do it's own thing if it appears to be seeping? or should i try to open it up a little more and clean it out? I am going to get terramycin powder, i guess you can just put in their water, so it couldn't hurt the rest of my girls to get some antibiotics as well right?

Just keep it clean, put antibiotic ointment on it after clean it. Its preferable to only treat her if you can, if not, then you don't really have a choice.

i will have to treat all, she doesn't like to be away from the others very long so i have not quarantined her at all through this.

Get the treatment and if you need help figuring out dosage, I can help with that, when I get my packages of treatment, it's always for like 200 birds. Can be confusing.

WOW! do you have that many? or that is just how many you can treat with it?

If she were mine and I saw pus, I would open it up and take it out. I call it chicken pus, it's more cheese like, so you'll have to use tweezers to get it out.
