Hello! This little duckling has been in the incubator for 21 days but I’m worried about the size of the air sac. It’s my first time hatching eggs and it will be my first hatching - any advise on if this is too small and what I can do? Thanks!

Looks fine. What kind of duck?

It’s a mixed breed. I have mallard, created, saxony, runner. It’s started the hatch but I’m concerned as it’s now externally pipped but no movement or sound for 24 hours

So, there were no other problems with the small air sac? I have four eggs in my incubator now with really small air sacs too, so I was wondering. How's the hatch going?

Apparently the air sacs looked normal, but I reduced the humidity before I saw the replies. The first one externally pipped yesterday - it’s been about 30 hours and it has two cracks. Hoping there’s more development in the next few hours. Here’s a photo of it this morning when it only had one crack.

I've heard it can take 48 hours from external pip to zip, but if nothing else happens you may want to help it.
