i noticed on 3 of my hens the tips of there combs were its pointy the points had white tips on them the other two hens combs were fine a few black specks on them from peckin order as usual but is this a singn of frostbie starting its 29 to 30 degrees here the coldest its been at nite is like 12 degrees i think the lowest during the day was like 17 degrees do i need to put vasaline on there combs or not worry about it?

I don't think I have ever heard of a chicken dieing from eating vaseline, I put it on my 2 roos combs also bag balm if your keeping them cooped in the coop then you might have a humidity problem if thats where they got it. They need good ventilation which should be up high so as not to have a draft on the chickens, what is your coop like?
