Is this Ameraucana or Araucana and rooster or hen?

I work at an animal shelter and this chicky is up for adoption. I would like to add to my coop, but can't tell if rooster or hen. Has been here 6 days without an egg or a crow. Afraid to take home until I know. My rooster was rescued young from fighting stock and don't want him to kill this one.

That is a good looking chicken you have there but if I were to
take it home I would keep it away from the other animals for
a week or so to make sure it isn't bring home a big surprise's

Looks like a young on but I would go with Hen

It's an Easter egger hen. Her comb isn't really red, so I wouldn't expect her to be laying yet. She may just be too young, or she may be older and took a break for the winter. She's got a kind of modified pea comb, so she has a chance of laying blue or green eggs, but also a chance of brown or cream.

Update. Is a hen. Was young. Does laying humongous light blue eggs. She thinks she is a dog.
