Is this an egg?

We have pullets who just started laying. One has been laying for ~2 weeks, another laid her first egg yesterday and we think the third is close. We let them roam around the backyard, and we found this today (pics below). Not sure if this is potentially an egg precursor or a sign of something wrong or lack of calcium? it’s got a white side and then is a fluid-filled packet
I also found some really yellow bedding when I cleaned the coop today (egg yolk) colored. But no obvious signs of shell.

Note: other two laid nice eggs with firm shells from the get go.

Do you have any idea which pullet is responsible for that?

Did you slice into it? Is it solid or runny? A photo shows two dimensions. Your words need to describe the third so we have the complete picture.

Yep, that's an egg. She probably just had a hiccup in her egg-making system or isn't getting enough calcium.

Yes that is an egg. It was laid without a shell. That is not uncommon for young hens coming into their first laying cycle. The hen should correct on her own and start to lay normal eggs.

If it was an egg, was the yolk runny as a normal egg would be or was the yolk "cooked"? If the yolk is solid, that is not good.
