I don't know if this is bumblefoot or a fungal infection. It isn't really a scab that I can remove, which is why I don't think it's bumble foot. I'm not sure what else I should do- I soaked her feet in an epsom salt bath this morning for 30 minutes, then sprayed the brown area with Microcyn Poultry Care spray. I put an antifungal/antibacterial/antiviral cream on the area, then wrapped with medical wrap and taped it. She's in her own pen now with duck food and a small water dish that she can't step in. Is there anything else I should be doing?

We had bumblefoot on ours and it looked just like that. After soaking and medicating for a few days it did turn into a scab that started to peel away. Honestly, we just kept soaking an putting clear iodine then wound spray and ointment on. Eventually the scans fell off. But I thought the same at first, it didn’t look like a scab!

Was yours as big as this one? And did you wrap the foot with the ointment on it? I went to the vet today and she gave me an antibiotic cream, and oral antibiotics and said it could take months to heal. She didn't say anything about soaking in epsom salt but if it worked for you maybe I should?

Yours is definitely larger but it looks exactly the same. I would soak them in epsom salt to soften it up, then clean it with decolorized iodine, spray with antibiotics and put antibiotic cream on it. Then I would just hold them for a few minutes like that and kind of let it soak in and work. For the first week, I was bringing the two that had it in on clean soft bedding but I am not sure I would do that next time... it seemed to be working fine even after we let them back out in the pens anyway and keeping them separated just stressed them out. I am definitely no expert but that is what worked when two of my ducks had it and they are both good now! It did take about 3 weeks for theirs to fully heal though, so I imagine it can take awhile for a larger case.
Good luck!
