Is this Bumblefoot?

Is this the beginning of Bumblefoot or just a callous?

If I were you, I'd put some triple antibiotic ointment on it. Then clean all the roosts and the "poop pile" under the roost. To reduce the chances of bumblefoot, keep 3-4 inches of bedding in the coop.

It's just taking extreme preventative measures for the health of your chicken.

He sits in a wire bottom cage so the poop mostly falls through it.

Wire bottom cages make birds more susceptible to bumblefoot I'm pretty sure. How many birds do you have? Do they all live in a wire cage?

No just him. He's got a wooden perch in there he sits on a lot too. His other foot was a smooth worn spot also. I just put the cream on both feet and used an antibacterial cleaner in his perch and cage bottom.

He's not limping. He's acting normally.

No limping, no swelling, no redness = no bumblefoot.
