is this chick a frizzle?

It's possible that your broody hen stole eggs from other hens and incubated them. They do that all the time, unfortunately.

Even if they aren't frizzled they may still carry the frizzle gene if one of them is her offspring than her daughter or son might produce a frizzle.

Unfortunately that is not the case. It is a dominant pleiotropic gene. Dominant genes always express if they've been inherited. If they don't express, they aren't there. Recessive genes can hide for a generation like you are talking about. But that isn't the case here.
 
when breeding smooth to frizzle you average 50% frizzle and 50% smooth. That is just the average. You can get all smooth or all frizzle on any given hatch.
 
what if i bred these chicks with a frizzle? would there be more a chance that the chicks would turn out frizzle?
