Is this chick a Maran?

He is one of my 'extra' chicks from Murray McMurray and I'm 100% sure this is my FREE "Exotic Chick"

But what IS he, or she?

"It" looks a lot like a Barred Plymouth Rock.

Too soon to tell what it might be, but with yellow legs, it isn't a Marans (always with an "s")

They said they ship the order with 1 Exotic Rare chick --- I didn't order a Barred Rock, so "it" is an extra. NO clue which one IS the rare, and maybe they didn't include one.
That would be highly disappointing - thank you!

I just got my baby chicks in on 4/26. I ordered 8 red stars, 8 RIR(one died

), and my free chick! I've been searching everywhere trying to figure out what "it" is! Mine looks identical to yours!

Is it possible for chickens skin color to change??? Marans have white skin and the once yellow legged chick is now a speckled, white skinned chicken!

AND, there is NO way I got the chick mixed up with another because it was the only one of it's kind.
