One telltale sign usually on barred birds the roosters will have a lot if shiny rusty color but really any bird can have rusty leakage color so as far as comb goes i say pullet

I don’t think there’s any leakage! The photo with my daughter (blue shirt) holding him is probably the truest representation of his colouring, but the entire body is the same colour (and white).
