is this EE (possibly Ameraucana) a pullet or roo? CONFIRMATION, pg 6!

Hi everyone! My little blue EE is getting quite the comb, as well as some decorative feathers around its neck and breast, making me about 80% sure it's a rooster. However... its new feathers are really rounded, and it's comb is turning out to look really like a single comb. Since I've seen a few single-combed hens with a fairly tall comb at 10 weeks, I'm still holding onto a teensy bit of hope that it might just be a butch hen. Plus its stance looks so female to me! Here are some recent pics; I'm planning on posting some every couple weeks until it crows. When do you think I can expect that? Also, how in the world does one edit a thread's title? It'd be nice to be able to put "UPDATE!" on there

Post a picture looking straight down on the back. The feathers on the neck do not look like male streamers to me. I do see a couple back near the tail that look suspect, but there should be lots of male feathers on the shoulders at this age. I am still sticking to my guess that it is a she. If you post a pic of the back and I see saddle feathers I will eat crow humbly and tell you it is a roo.

Here's a pic of its topside. There are a couple of darker feathers emerging near the base of the tail (good eye, kentuckysilkies!

), but they are super rounded/confusing. I don't think it's developed saddle feathers yet. I read a post a little while ago about someone not realizing their EE was a roo until it crowed at 22 weeks... I'm hoping to settle things definitively before then - it's getting hard to not get attached to the little guy!

I will! It's funny, when I posted this last batch of pics I thought that everyone would be guessing "male", but you pullet people are giving me a little bit more hope. (Although I'm still prepared for a roo) This is one confusing chicken

Sorry to dash your hopes, but he's still a boy. I see the start of saddle feathers coming in, he has the "fluff" at the base of the tail that males get, the hackle coloring is a dead giveaway and the comb also.
