Welcome! The wire floor won't keep rats or weasels out, and will make cleaning the coop a horrible chore. I would plan on a wire or concrete apron on the outside instead. Hardware cloth, 1/2 inch openings, is the best and only thing to use on openings in the coop. Plan on a solid back wall, with at least partially closed side walls, and a roof, for shelter from rain and wind. Then plenty of ventilation and light. mary
