Is this egg a tosser? I marked earlier in the week how far along they were (the silver line).
Is it too early for it to be hatching?!

If that is a broody egg, it should be right on time to hatch and should hatch within 12-24 hours of externally pipping.

I honestly have no clue eat day it's on. lol, I'm a terrible baby chicken mom. I know that all in the nest are at about the same stages. The picture attached is pretty much what it looked like when candling it earlier this week.
I didn't know if it accidentally broke or if it's that far along! I will keep a close eye on it though.

That's an external pip not a break. The air cell just a couple days from hatch will drastically get bigger seemingly overnight.

Wow! Thank y'all for getting back to me so quickly! I'm so glad I have this community's help because I would be SO LOST!
It's exciting to know that I can watch some chicks hatch before too long.

Yes! She got up to go take a dust bath & I was planning on taking them from her to put in our incubator, but I guess I'll leave them with her now!

That looks like a clear egg to me, not fertile or very early quitter. But I haven't incubated in a decade or two

You can tell if a chick is ready to hatch by holding it up to your ear and tapping the air cell gently with your fingernail. It will peep. I’ve only done this with a mother hen hatching them not from an incubator.

None of them were clear. They all had a distinct "solid" & "negative" space in the egg.
