If they have lice you will need to treat them with a permethrin dust of permethrin spray, which you can find at a feed store.

When I get one with it really bad like that I put a few inches of warm water in the tub then let them stand in it for a few hours. After a few hours the excess scaly stuff is easy to remove.

I can do that! Maybe use a small dog crate with a dish tub.

Yeah, when scaly leg mites are that bad, you gotta go straight to the strong stuff. Applying it to their feet and then putting petroleum jelly over that should do it. Petroleum jelly on its own is for milder cases.

I just use the tub, put them in it, then turn off the light so they stay put, and let them stand, but do what you can.

Okay I got the permethrin spray and powder for the coop. I also picked up some electrolytes and probiotics. do you guys think I should do a dewormer to? Considering the scale of the rest of the infestation I'm just thinking maybe I should cover all my bases or is that too much it wants for them to handle?
