Hi. My almost 7 year old best layer hen has been sitting/standing with her head pulled in and kind of goose stepping a little. Her tail is way up high and her comb color is reddish. She's not eating as much as she used to and didn't come out of the coop in the morning for a couple hours. She was not on the nest, just standing there kind of scrunched up. When she finally came out this morning she moved slowly but ate some of the treat I gave her. Any ideas anyone? I'm going out to check for bites on her now. If she lets me hold her. Checked her for parasites - none found. Her feet are fine too as far as I can tell. She's such a sweet girl, I'd like to make her all better. I know, she's getting old and layed nearly every day during laying season. She probably has ovarian cancer.
