I have six hens, 4 are red sex link 2 are New Hampshire or Rhode Island reds. The four red sex links are loosing massive amounts of feathers. I got them as chicks over the summer. They started laying eggs end of December, steady egg layers every day. Would they be molting in winter? Is it something else? They all seem to get along.

Generally you won't see massive amounts of feathers. Usually molting they almost shed them. But you shouldn't see completely naked spots. If you're seeing large amounts I'd be worried they're fighting or a predator

Thank you. I think it’s pecking. I’ll keep an eye on them.
