Is this Mushy Chick disease?

Do you have any betadine or chlorhexidine? If you do have some you could apply a few drops the the area, then place in cup of Tupperware lined with a paper towel. If not, just place it the lined cup or Tupperware and hope for the best. :fl
Or would polysporin be okay? Sorry if that is a dumb question I'm just trying to think of what I have on hand.

Thank you! The chick I posted about last night is doing very well now and it's all closed up! Quite a few of them have the same issue but I just put the polysporin on and am hopjng theh will dry up as well.

Thank you! Does this mean that he will be fine? Is there still a possibility of him developing mushy chick disease or is he in the clear since his navel has healed and closed?
Sorry, I have one more question. If the chicks do have mushy chick disease is there any danger to humans. My 3 year old has been playing with the chicks and now I'm nervous that he could get whatever infection they might have. Three more have been born with the open navel and I have put polysporin on them and kept them seperated until the navel was pretty much dry. Is there any danger? Should I be sanitizing all of the surfaces that the chicks were on?
