Is this Normal? Help needed

I have been putting saline solution on--2 of the chicks their vent doesnt seem to be working properly---it just sticks out and I keep cleaning it off---they have sore bloody spots where the crusty part was ripped off but other chicks arent harming them

Added: I dont know-I guess I will just have to continue to do what I am and hope for the best

are you putting anything else on the spots?
It will heal but if you have no witchhazel for the inflammation then a bit of aloe vera or triple antibiotic creme would help ease the irritation of those spots.

I have antibiotic ointment and aloe vera

update-just a liitle while ago the littlest one I was so worried about- I was spraying saline solution on and his vent started doing the muscular movements and a big ole poo came out (for the size of the bird) yeah

thank goodness
