Good to be concerned I like that ......

Put some Probiotic & Electrolyte in the drinking water you can get this at the feed store .....

You can also try a hard boiled egg a day as the Protein, vitamin B-3 and niacin are all good for any chick or chickens ....... And do not get discouraged if they only eat a bit at first as it takes a few days for them to be big enough for them to get a large appetite but a little goes a long ways in the first week of life .......

Some of our recent hatches here .....

We hatched out this pullet here and she started producing egg's at 14 weeks and went broody at 20 weeks then started hatching out chicks last Saturday ....

Last months hatch ...

These hatched out a couple of weeks ago ...

First week of June 2014 ...

Early this month .....

Our first peep of the month .....

Momma ducks nest ......

Enjoy your poultry ....

That part of your post caught my eye - how many chicks have you lost, did you determine a cause of death for the ones you have already lost and at what point in the three days you have had them did they pass?

I assumed becuzz they were extremely weak from the travel , I couldn't figure out y though two of them arrived unwell and simply wasted away I had to force feed them but it didn't seem to help , the other two chicks were healthy and lively the first day but then they just started sleeping and wouldn't eat or move couldn't tell if it was a disease , infection or anything to figure out wat was wrong and they died like the first two I still have 12 out of the 16

Welcome to BYC!

First you need to do some reading on this article on raising chicks. This will give you the basics to raising them properly...

https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/...ks-the-first-60-days-of-raising-baby-chickens

It is best to use a red or infra red bulb for heat. White lighting does not allow for a good sleeping pattern. Keep the heat off to one side of the brooder, food and water off on the other side. You want cool spots in the brooder and not the same temp all around. Keep a thermometer on the floor directly beneath the heat source. Start the temp out around 93 degrees or so. You are going to lower this heat by 5 degrees each week til they are 6 weeks old.

When you put new chicks in the brooder, you need to dip everybody's beak in the water so they know where it is and they get their first drink of water. Lay paper towels down and sprinkle feed all around the floor by the feeder so they can find feed. Tap with your fingers so they know to eat.

You can put some probiotics in their water. Open a capsule and pour the contents into a one quart plastic water font. Discard the capsule. Change and make a new batch daily. Hard boil up some eggs and chop one up well. Feed this to the babies once or twice a day for a couple days to get them eating and jump start the appetites. If you don't have any probiotics right now, and I do suggest you get some, you can put 2 tablespoons of sugar in their water for 2 days to help with the blood sugar levels.

Keep us posted and I hope you can get them all back to good health soon.

But does anyone know the answer to my original question??? I would really like ta know soon!!! (Don't mean to be pushy or nuthin)
