Is this ok to do? Road debrit pebbles for grit?

I would not feed road dirt because of the oil, and salt residue. but I only buy grit in the winter when they have no access to yard dirt. Snow covered and frozen. 1 bag lasts some times 2yrs. the rest of the year they get plenty of dirt,sand, small gravel from the yard.

Ditto on no road debris. Free rangers don't need grit, especially if you have dirt and/or gravel around. I put a little sand/gravel in their dirt bath box
and they naturally know what to do.

We have ants that like to use rough sand for their hills and they have them all up and down the edges of our driveway. I just scooped up a bit of that for my chicks and will start giving it in a couple more days when I start giving treats.

i give my adults oyster shells for calcium and grit.

Oyster shell is not a substitute for grit, but it they free range they don't need it anyway​

road pebbles contain fuel and oil and pollution. Not such a good idea. Just buy some grit.
