Is this poor woman one of us?

I was reading through the comments on the article and apparently one of her sons was asked to take the 2 year old inside and turn off the hose, so she wasn't neglecting him. It also said they admit the twitter time stamps might not be entirely accurate.

If you read it again it says she Twittered asking for prayers for her son.. She didnt know he hadnt made it at the time...
Poor Baby and Poor Mom for all the nastiness she is going thru... I have 4 and 7 yr old and KNOW that you cant watch them 24 hours a day.. It could happen to anyone...

this is so awful and so sad the poor family, best of luck to them. although I think it may have been able to be prevented, but its still very sad and accidents happen sometimes, its just a fact of life and we cant control it, I am sure that it's already hard enough for the family and then to have people blame them?... just awful, my heart goes out to them and best of luck to the family

my heart and prayers go put to the little boy and his family...I have an aunt thet lost 2 of her kids to drowning in a pond ages 4 and 8 several years ago so I have seen what a tragedy like this does to a mother...sendy his mother lots of hugs

If that had been me, my first thought would have been to call my Dad, my DH, anyone. Tweeting is the same, you just get more people in the same amount of time.

Thsi family deserves prayers and loving thoughts not a media frenzy...

After thinking about this last night I realize that I did the same thing after our house fire... 5 years ago my bestfriend and mines home caught fire , she and I worked night shift a1/2 mile away ... Sometime between our lunch break at 1 am and 5 am when we got home our pet rabbit had started a fire with a old a/c unit..Her two teenage children where asleep in the home.. At the hospital I remeber calling EVERY person I know pleading for prayers for the children ... Sadly our prayers were not answered and both children passed away.. I feel that as human beings our first reaction to crisis is either shut down or get active.... I got active I felt that if enough people sent enough energy that the children would survive...
My heart and soul cry for this woman and I hope that whatever beleif she follows that she is finding solace in it.... Blessings

If she's not a member, I hope that she finds us. She will get a lot more compassion here than she is from the media and all of the nasty strangers judging her.
