Maybe got poked in the eye then.

You are mentioning Coryza. Coryza is a respiratory disease.
You don't mention any of these symptoms and I don't see an indication of these symptoms in your photos:
"""Clinical signs: Swelling around the face, foul smelling, thick, sticky discharge from the nostrils and eyes, labored breathing, and rales (rattles—an abnormal breathing sound) are common clinical signs."""https://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/publication/ps044

He has no other symptoms but I was hoping that whatever it is I caught it early, my wife is very paranoid about the chickens health

It looks like an old injury, or he could have been born like that, but I would have thought that you would have noticed the eye earlier. Do you have other roosters or cockerels who could have pecked him.
I have 2 other roosters, he definitely wasn’t born like this I had him for a year and a half since he was a chick and his eye just got like this
