I will go give her a feel in a bit.
She is a big girl, and not so easy to "see" if she would be bigger.
She is also not the friendliest, tho her temperment has drastically improved since she got here.
Ill have to bribe her with a fresh dandelion to get her to let me feel her up . . .

Thanks for replying, you always have good advice concerning rabbits!

Do you think she may be trying to tell me something?
Like maybe she is ready to take the next step in a rabbit-relationship?
Is her biological clock tick tickin away?

She was previously kept in a tiny cage in very close proximity(right next to) to the same male.
I got both as rescues.
They had no manners and were never played with or let out, she could barely turn around in her cage, and her toe nails could be measured in inches(yes, plural).
She is much much older than him.

In the months she has been here, she has been allowed as much ground time as she wants, been put on a healthy diet of quality feeds, and been exposed to all of my other rabbits both male and female, and most importantly- been given attention.
The first time I put her on the ground she couldnt even walk because of her nails, I trimmed them right up and away she went.
She has been courted by males, she has been in fights with females.
The other day she started her own burrow in the yard.

Basically, she has been allowed to be a rabbit probably for the first time in her life.

She has even started to allow me to pet and scratch her a bit without running away.

If she's been roaming with males then, yeah, she's probably pregnant. Mating takes seconds-literally.

Males gotta finish tho, and that is something you can see and hear.

I guess only tonight will tell.

Hey RM, you know alot about rabbits too, have you read thru all my replies, including about the blood I saw?
I joined back in towards the bottom of page 2.

i think she is prego and will have kits by morning.

Pulling fur might be a false pregnancy, but blood means she's either in labor, already delivered, or at very least she might have broke a toenail or something.

When you have them out together, are you watching them every second? I've seen rabbits at shows breeding on the show table with the judge and exhibitors right there, and sometimes no one sees it until the deed is done-or does end up giving birth a month after a show.

There are two ways to make sure your rabbits don't breed. You can have them altered, or you can keep them away from each other. Believe me, if they are together, they will find a way.

Three things

1. she could be preggers
2 she could be in false pregnancy (had a doe do this under my sofa)
3 she could have a delayed pregnancy.

I have had a doe go into delayed pregnancy before. She was with a buck on a stormy night (accident) and did not give birth for 6 weeks. The stress of the weather made her body hold the eggs and sperm till the time was right.

I would give her a full week and a half with her box to figure out if it's fake or real.

The minute I catch my doe pulling fur, in goes the nesting box cause the babies are usually there by the next morning or evening

Not 'zactly. Sperm and eggs don't live very long once released. The development is halted at the embryo stage. The actual step that is delayed is implantation, not fertilization. I think the longest case of delayed implantation that has been verified was something like 6 months? Makes you wonder if you can ever let your guard down, especially with them breeding through the wire, an' all!

All my does are about 10 pounds and once they lay down on their side it's easier to see! Their bellies will stick up more and you will just need to watch! Some kits are more active then others! Goodluck
