Is this safe?

    We're looking to harvest our turkey, but he has this on him (see photo). I'm guessing it's fowl pox, is it ok to slaughter and eat or should we wait until it goes away? Or is it normal? It's our first time raising turkeys. Thanks!

    It would be smart to figure out what it is for sure in case it is something contagious to the other birds.
