Is this the same dog?

I'm so glad you found out what happened to him and that he is in a happy home! Definitely agree with The Kid, show them the pics and ask to say hi every now and then.

Glad you found out what had happened to him. I think it is the same dog.

I would explain to them what happened and he use to be yours. I would also ask to visit and offer to watch him anytime. I would also say that you will let him stay since they so nicely took him in and have cared for him all this time but I would let them know if they ever need to find him a new home you want him back.

That would be nice if the brother and him could visit if you still have him.

Looks like the same dog to me. It also looks like he is being very well taken care of. I agree with the people who say leave him in his happy home and offer to dog sit once in a while. He is their family too at this point. So glad you found him though and have some resolution.
Was he not microchipped?

Yes, it looks like him. But you should leave him with them, they are his family now. If i was that family, i would not give you the dog back, sorry.
Just be thankful that hes alive and living with nice people.

I agree 100%. If he looked neglected in any way I'd go after him. He looked so happy, well manicured, and cared for. You couldn't ask for better results considering you thought he was probably killed by a car crossing that highway.. I'm sorry but I would leave him be and ask if you could visit or take him for walks every now and again:)

Aw, what a happy ending!! I agree with the others.....he has a new home now and is being well cared for and loved. Leave him there and just be happy for him.

What a great story with such a great ending! He looks happy and healthy! I am sure the woman loves milo as much as you did! I wouldn't want to break her heart by taking the dog. Its been 5 years! That's a long time! I think leave it be maybe go and show your pictures and you will have made some new friends and have a good story to tell

I agree that it looks like the same dog. And you are right, he has been cared for and loved by his new "people" for 5 years. It might be worth your while to talk to the people that have him, explain the situation, and perhaps they will let you come visit him from time to time.

I'm sure it is a huge relief off your shoulders to know that he was taken in by people who've loved him and taken good care of him and that he didn't get hit. Whenever a pet goes missing, one often wonders whatever happened to him/her. I am glad this has had a happy ending, especially for the pooch!

I plan on going by later this week with the pictures I have and just to talk.
His son/brother died a few weeks after Milo went missing. The vet couldnt find anything wrong with him though...
No he wasnt mircochipped (all my dogs since then have been)
