Isn’t she hilarious???!!! These two are my first ducks so I had no idea what I was getting into. They had a bunch of breeds all mixed in together so we just got what we got. I’m guessing on both breeds and I assumed the black and white one was a Black Swedish. She’s got a green tint to her feathers all over. Is that normal too? Neither one of them are very friendly. The lady at that the feed store said ducks are super awesome and sweet pets but I’m not convinced yet. They’re pretty messy and not all that sweet but they are teenagers so I’m hoping they’ll grow out of their skittishness. Would I know if they are drakes by now? I don’t see any drake feathers and they’re both very noisy so I’m assuming they’re females.

My Black Swedish had green metallic and blue metallic feathers. If they are skittish they will probably always be. I have found the route to their hearts is cooked macaroni. The skittish will overwhelm me like a wave for macaroni.

Dried meal worms is another way to ward of skiddishness. I have 2 Buff females mine lay very light cream colored eggs
