Is this wood salvageable?

We've only had this in July but we didn't know much about building anything so it looks like a lot of damage has been done since it rains a lot here. I'm going to rebuild it this weekend, make it smaller, raise it, give it a floor. Would this wood be reusable? Can I paint over it at this point? Should I just start over?

Dry it out real good and see if it starts flaking. If nit, it should be fine

Sorry, dumb question but would I use a blow dryer?

Would I be able to paint over it so it can last longer?

I think paint would help. I jusy leave wood in a sunny spot for a while where water cant collect under it

Get the wood up out of any water and let it dry (even if you build with it first).

Paint will always extend the life of wood, especially outdoors. Wood must be dry to paint (water causes paint to have poor adherence).

Exterior barn paint is cheap white or red usually only 15 a gallon. 2 coats and you should be set

Looks like it definitely got wet. A couple days of sun and it will dry out enough to paint. I'd definitely scuff it up with sandpaper before painting.

I found black mold forming on the inside. I can scrub that off and maybe spray with vinegar but should I paint the inside or treat it with an anti mold spray?

Also, how much ventilation would a 4x4 coop need for 2 birds?

You need to make sure the wood is dry. If not, the paint will start to peel off easily.
For two chicken's you will need 2sqf of permanent ventilation that is above the birds when on roost. Ventilation should be on two sides to help with the air flow.
