Is this Wyandotte a rooster...I think Meyer hatchery did it again!

Oh no! Last year it was a Golden Campine hen that turned out to be a rooster, now named Spock.... this year it may be a Wyandotte. I ordered two Blue Laced Wyandotte hens... and I got what appears to be Golden Laced and a TBD so I only have a silver laced Wyandotte to compare this one to. She has no comb to speak of yet. Is the little one below a rooster? She/ he is 5 weeks old. No crowing yet... but when I picked him/her up to take these pictures he/she pecked me! Oh no! Spock caused quite a problem with my neighbor... but I kept him!

With that comb and wattle at five weeks I'd vote rooster.

He sure resembles my Wyandotte roo at that age. My roo also pecked at me when I would try to pick him up.

Hatchery vent sexing is only 90-95% accurate. Considering in all the years I've gotten hatchery birds and only 2 Oops roosters, ya'all have a lot of roosters to get to balance out my good luck!

Thank you for the confirmation!!!! I have gotten chicks for 4 years from Meyer...a total of 26 hens ordered in that time period... this would be oops rooster #2! Decision time!!!!
