Is three weeks too young to sex a chick?

How do they get it right in Greece? Or do you just get a chicken and then wait and see?

Hatcheries sell at 6 weeks. That way you are getting what you want the vast majority of times. Feed stores do the same. Day old chicks aren't that common. If you do get them, they're basically all straight run. So you don't buy them with the presumption of gender. If you're hatching them yourself, then again you have no expectations of gender

I like that, seems like a better outcome as opposed to all these “accidental” cockerels.
 
You can only sex chicks at about six weeks old. Sometimes you can sex them earlier than that, but they have to be a fast-growing breed. Checking their wings will not work unless it is a breed and a bloodline bred specifically for that, which you likely will never find.
