These are the cheapest we could find and they last much longer than the more expensive brands.

I'm using a 14 or 15 urine catheter. No problems with it getting stuck or anything.
The tube feeding may be working well in that she eating more by herself. That girl was always a food monger.

I tube feed when birds will not eat, and I use wet cat food, a raw egg, some fresh, raw goats milk (milk kefir, or yogurt), and Avia Charge. I put everything in the blender to create a runny 'smoothie', and I tube-feed about 30mL, as needed.
The wet cat-food provides a lot of protein, and is easy to digest. The raw egg, well.... Perfect food for chickens. :) Raw Goats milk (kefir, or yogurt) provides probiotics, and helps in many other ways, and Avia Charge is just a bit of extra boost.

When I have a bird with an injury (which I actually do at this very moment), I also add powdered egg shells (powdered using a coffee grinder). The egg shells help to repair bone and cartilage much faster.

I found that using a Weak Kid Syringe for weak goat kids works AMAZING for tubing birds. Not too big, doesn't bother them, and had a rounded tip, so no injury. Plus, it comes with a LARGE syringe for the purpose. I am not sure if you have ever tube-fed, but you have to be VERY careful that the tube actually enters the crop, or you WILL kill your bird!

Good luck! :)

The smallest tube I use on *any* adult bird, including OEGB's is the size 18 French. It's large enough that it's almost impossible to get it in the trachea. The 30 is too big for the OEGB, but not too big for most larger birds.

Kaytee Baby Bird Food is what I use most because it's easy to use, has 22% protein, vitamins and probiotics. It's also what several vets have told me to use. :D

Here is a tubing link with lots of info and a few videos:

I had gone to the store to buy some cat food but could not find any that contained more than 11-12% protein. Check labels before you buy something. I think these companies make like they are loaded with protein.

I think the Kaytee baby food is good. High protein and 9% fat as well. Her stool is just starting to lose the bright green. But she still has diarrhea bad. Any advice?

Once it's a normal color you could get a larger tube and give her a the baby bird food made with less water?
