is whiny dead??UPDATE!!!SHE DIED ):

so, how hot is too hot??? our garage is getting pretty warm, and she is huddled right under the little light I have in there right now....she can walk and move so she will know to move away right??

she shouldnt need any extra heat at her age a temp of 70 should be fine for her. She should yes, move close and away from the light if she gets to hot or cold.

I know that normally at her age she wouldn't need heat, but she was very cold....and I think if she didn't want it, she wouldn't be right under it, yes?? It seems that way to me. Is that not true?

Thanks for your help....one thing I don't want is fried chicken!!!! (especially since I don't cook meat!)

I know...it is weird that she would want it, but I think she was cold for a long time. I now remember thinking it was cute when she would want to huddle under the others when it got cooler. Yes, cute it was, but I should have seen the signs for this....I am a newbie what can I say!?

thanks again julie for your help!

Even my 12 pullets all loved their light...past 8 weeks and even when the temp was in the 70's outside. I'm sure she'll need the extra warmth as sick as she has been. I agree with Diana...she's not out of the woods yet and needs exra TLC.

your welcome......... I had a very similar experience with a day old that's why I suggested the heat if shes liking it let her have it, we all know when we are a bit under the weather we sometimes like some extra heat!! Great job!!!!
