Hoover's Hatchery has a EE group with parent stock in a type of European mix that doesn't have beards or muffs. Plus EEs themselves are now mixes between EE parents, so traits are easy to loseI never suspected Easter Egger, she has short neck feathers. That would be quite a surprise if it were so. Is there an Easter variety with a similar appearance? I thought they always had those fluffy beards. (She's also about 6 months old and based on her behavior I suspect she will be coming into lay any day now.)
