Someone requested pics of this group of mine, so here they are. The boy is filling out nicely and so are the young ladies. Kira, being almost a year old, is showing the kids of the group how to lay an egg and they are really investigating the nest boxes and are fascinated with my broody hen, who has four babies in the pen in the Del coop's storage area.

Isaac's hackle barring is better than his father's, I have to say. And the girls are coming right along. Thanks for posting those, Cyn. It's nice to see how they're progressing

Cynthia,

I remember you talking a bit about weights in another thread, but don't recall whether you have weighed them and reported. Do you have any data regarding how much they weighed at different ages?

I have some Delawares that are about 5 weeks younger than yours and they look scrawny to me. But, they are sharing a run with some meat birds so it may just be a relative thing. And, it's real hard to judge size in pictures without any reference point.

Anyway, if you have some weights, it would be great of you'd share.

Thanks,
Tim

Tim, I never did get the weights. Life has been getting away from me lately plus, I dont know where my fish scale is. I'm going to ask my husband to look out for a good scale at the flea market he frequents. I bet you're having a hard time really seeing the size of your Dels next to meat birds!
