Isabel Ameraucana hatching eggs

Thanks.

I didn't see that name mentioned in this thread.
When did you set your eggs?
I just set them Thursday evening. I placed them in vertical with fat end up in a cut down egg carton. The air cells looked damaged from the shipping. It was def a gamble getting them shipped in the heat. Frankly I'll be shocked if anything hatches, but a girls gotta try!! I have blue wheaten ameraucanas and lavender but these are the ones I'm truly excited for!

Good luck!
Have you hatched before and do you have calibrated thermometers?

Yes. I've been hatching for 3 years now. I live in Texas so I usually only hatch in the spring and fall. This is the 4th batch of shipped eggs I've ever done. The first time with shipped eggs was a 0% hatch rate. The second was 90%! My third was only 40%.. there's so many variables! If I can get just a few out of this I'll be on the moon happy.

I'm in Houston.
Keep your humidity lower than what most online info states. 35% throughout should be perfect for you.

So if I had the humidity at 50.. would it be ok to lower it? 35 should be a dry incubation in my incubator. I've never done a dry hatch.

I'd lower it if I were you.
I always run my bator dry and I have excellent hatch rates.

Is your humidity gauge separately purchased from your bator?
Is it salt tested?

Your other hatches that didn't go so well... Did you open the eggs after the 21 days?
