ISABELLE LEGHORNS IN USA!

Pics
I don't think that one's calendar material.
How's about the first one in the series that is just fascinating? That's pretty fabulous. Love those white earlobes....and people wouldn't see the reflection in the chicken's iris, but we would all know it is there. great shot!

Pictures --

would love your insights!!

The foreground pullet has the more Isabel look to me, the background pullet seems more like a plain lavender, although I guess if that were the case the darker hackle feathers wouldn't be there.... does that match with the understanding that y'all have?

The older male -- from Lisa --- I think his type is really nice -- Not the best picture of him

The younger cockerel, he has more color - and being a month younger has some growing to do. -- (but some of his fertile eggs are developing in the incubator - so he's old enough)

One thing I like about BOTH of these is that their wing-triangle isn't WHITE like the wing triagle of the poster-boy cockerel -- Mine are both a dilute of gold/brown and it is kind of a pale peach color. Probably doesn't show in these photos....

His wing triangle is white....

If you look at lavender in other breeds, the whole bird is (or should be) an even color/shade all around. Your pullets look more Isabel than lavender to me. I'm seeing types like both of those pullets in my flock. I haven't decided yet which are the better choice for breeders, but I think a peachy breast is key, no?

I like the color, comb and ear lobes better on the 2nd cockerel, but the first cockerel looks to have better feather quality.
