ISABELLE LEGHORNS IN USA!

Pics
Is he missing his feathers on his wing? I was told they will not ever grow in right.... I didn't believe it but my roo started to molt and now it is scabbed over and not looking like it will ever grow in. I think getting that color in the wings is going to be a HARD battle. LOVE his hackles!
Thanks guys! I'm happy to have him.

He has a BUNCH of feathers coming in, so I don't think he is anywhere near finished. I will be taking more pictures as he continues to mature and questions will be answered! Right now, he is Buddy's pick to sire his next generation.

The other 10 pictures I took of him were a blurrrrrr. This picture was one of the last ones when he was wearing down. He is not in his final pen and certainly does not like being out in this grow out pen with others free ranging. Finally today, the girls laid an egg in the nest box instead of just dropping them off the roost. They are having a difficult adjustment.

I know they are far from perfect but I love my isabelles

Anyone know of any breeders in california who ship chicks? I've been wanting some of these for so long now but can't find any local..

I had some shipped to me in TX from both of the posters on here that send chickens. You could get some chicks shipped to you from them and still have time for them to feather out before the cold weather sets in.

:O)

contact cree57i or cjwaldon via PM on this thread and see if they may have some Isabelles that they can ship to you. Good luck....you will love having these beautiful birds in your flock, I know I do.

I'd love to but I already broke down most of my breeding pens for the year. The pullets are still separated but their eggs aren't big enough to consider setting/hatching just yet. And I haven't put a male in with them yet either.

@cjwaldon can I save your information for spring. Maybe I could purchase some chicks/hatching eggs then?

Thanks Chickat!

I cuurently am putting all my efforts to hatching splits from the new stock I got from Buddy. I may have some of those chicks to offer in the next couple of months, but between getting settled in and molting it will be at least the end of October before any will be available.
