I hope no one would harm an innocent animal just because they have a problem with your flag. Sometimes people make me sick! Unfortunately, I know there are people out there who would have a problem with it. I guess it mostly depends on your area. I think Dar had a great idea, especially if you are really worried.

A local business owner around here flys the Confederate flag in front of their house and no one has done a thing to them.

If it were me, I'd respectfully fly the USA flag higher, but try to put them out when people were close. Nothing like starting conversations and educating in a neighborly way. I'm betting folks don't know much except the two minute blurr on the news, or the biased misinformation they get through other media sources. Go for it!
