Hi, this is my first time hatching eggs. I have six eggs and one of them has already hatched and is in the brooder. Another one just hatched but still has the shell stuck to its head and its stomach looks pretty big. It also looks like a red bump on its stomach that might be bleeding and one of its feet keeps shaking. I don't know what to do, please help.

Hi Hannah! Is there anything outside of the chick, like a yolk sac from it's naval that's just below the vent? (It's bum)

Hi! Congrats on the new babies!

Id dab some antibacterial on it and leave it in the incubator until she's completely dry.

Sometimes they will have that bump where the yolk sac has been freshly absorbed but has not completely passed that abdominal wall.

I think it's kind of like an umbilical hernia.

Can you post pics for us to get a better idea of what it actually looks like?

sorry that its not good quality

It's good enough to see. I second this. I'd let the chick dry in the incubator before you take it out. Just watch that everything stays intact...what you're seeing is normal and fine. It's more obvious because the chick is wet. :)
Ok good, thank you so much!!
