It’s been 47 hours since noticed internal pip. Is it time to assist??? HELP!

We want yo get the shell removed to his beak area that’s most important
He is most likely in the wrong position with a foot over his head and this is why he couldn’t external pip himself. So glad we got the safety hole made after 24 hours as he would have run out of air
You are doing great at being aware of what’s going on
Now we just need to stay calm
He will chirp loud when you are working on the egg
This is normal. I have done that are quiet and others that go wild lol

Do you have any oil ?
Can you move the bator to a bathroom that has a shower ?
I o this when needing to assist
I pull the egg out and keep the bator closed so it doesn’t loose humidity and heat while working on the egg
I will run the shower on hot fir a few mins before starting to get it warm and humid in the room
You could take a little water on a q tip to wet that membrane to see
But if there is veins then we leave it a few more hours and recheck. Use Vaseline to keep the membrane moist
Take pics so we can see what’s going on
We don’t want to loose this little one
Here are a few pictures. I think I see a vein so I’m going to let him be for a bit before proceeding.
He’s moving and peeping when I talk to him.
I hope it’s ok to leave him be like this but I did as I was told in the assist article and started to remove the shell around the air cell, but I’m afraid to proceed because I think I see a vein! Ugh, I’m soooo nervous!!

Coat that membrane with Vaseline just not on his beak
I see veins as well so I would wait a few hours a look again
In the meantime you could run and get coconut oil
This will give you something to do so you don’t get to stressed
Watch his beak for chewing and yawing
This is a sign he is absorbing

More photos. He’s talking to me. But I think I should leave him alone for awhile.
I have the incubator right in front of me while I have my coffee so I can watch him every second!! I just can’t lose another baby!!!! 😢 🥺

He is safe in the egg inside the bator
He has air
Keeping him in the bator is best as we don’t want to dry out that goo in the egg. It sticks like cement
Talking to him through the bator is fine. It keeps him encouraged but don’t open it to do so
I can’t guarantee anything but to me if you stay calm and he stays in and absorbs he will be perfectly fine
I have assisted many times
With great success
Patients is the key

Oh dear!!!! I thought for sure he was ready after 48 hours of being internally piped!
Is he going to be ok like this? Am I going to lose him?
I’m literally in tears right now! 😢
He will be fine
It’s 48-72 hours to hatch
My wrong end took 54 hours
It’s a general time frame but not a has to be out by then
Relax hun everything is ok
Your last loss was baby not in air cell and couldn’t get air
This guy has plenty of air

No one can predict what will or could happen, but you haven't done anything wrong by assisting him- it's okay!

He is safe like this for now. The important thing is that baby can breathe well.
He isn't ready to come out yet, but he  is absorbing.
he just needs a little more time

I agree with everything @New duck mommy 2021 has said- you're okay to talk to him through the incubator, that will motivate him
