from Illinois. I started with 2 and now have 37 and 8 ducks. Doesnt take long for chicken math to hit. My neighbor lost 1 of her chicks the other day and I feel partly responsible, so I bought her 5 of the breeds she had been wanting. She asked me how much for them I told her nothing cause I feel responsible that she lost that one. She said but that was only 1. I told her dont you know it takes 5 to replace 1?

I just have to say that I'm doing the happy dance right now, because I just had a tutorial in chicken math again...
A patient of DH (DH is a small town dentist) just surprised us with 14 baby RIR pullets from the same Southern States Store I bought all my other chicks from! How will I thank her? Maybe free eggs for a very long time!!
