It Finally Happened New Egg layer!

Pics
Well I got an identical one yesterday, at least it was in the best box this time. The “shell” is more like a thin sugary crust that crunches anywhere you touch it. Hopefully her next one is a little more solid or she will probably get a few days calcium citrate to help her get them regulated.

Coco finally laid a proper egg today, and it is olive. So that makes my egg colors so far:
5 = Brown (from my ISA Browns)
2 = Olive
1 = Mint Green
1 = Cream/Pearl (this one is actually shiny pearlescent)

Here is Coco and her egg. She is one of my most skittish so was hard to get a good pic.

It was so big I thought it was my ceramic egg until I noticed it was darker, lol.

such a pretty egg and wow that is a big egg!!!!!!!!!!

You have a nice variety of colors too!

I think my Salmon Faverolle, Twisted, laid her first egg the other day just before 23 weeks... I had 2 eggs in my new nest box (only 1 girl normally lays in it) and thought it was strange but there wasn't an egg when I checked the day before so was thinking maybe my other girl laid it after I checked (but it was a bit late) but today I think I saw her in my other nest boxes (the camera faces those but it was still in night mode so a bit hard to tell) and there was an "extra" egg in that box. So believe it was her. a bit hard to tell for sure since I have a couple others that seem to lay really close to the same color egg.

So now I am still waiting on my 2 Sicilian Buttercups (that SHOULD already be laying, and the 2 I picked up for someone else that same day are both laying but neither of mine are. LOL), my cream legbar (can't wait to see her eggs!), and my buff Brahma (if she is anything like my light brahmas from last year I may be waiting till Feb/March for hers).

Out of my 23 week olds I have

1 dark brown egg - My OE (so sad it wasn't green but it is pretty)
1 light cream- my blue rock
1 teal a hint on the green side- my EE
1 tan- my Salmon Faverolle

1 teal more on the blue side- an EE that someone else is taking but hasn't been able to get yet.
1 other tan- a blue rock the same person is taking (but funny the faverolle and this blue rock lay almost identical egg. and the 2 blue rocks are completely different colors).

I am really hoping me EE lays a bright blue/ turquoise egg.

I’m not sure what to call my OE who lays cream. I guess she would just be an EE.
I hope she does for you! My older EE lays such a light blue it looks white unless in the right light and you can see the blue tint. they other 2 (both 23 weeks old) lay such pretty eggs. They are soooooo hard to get a picture of though! In person they look VERY similar in color but you can see one is a bit more green the other more blue. I have noticed as they are getting further into laying the colors are a bit brighter so don't look AS similar but still really close. I am sad the blue one isn't mine but hopefully my cream legbar lays nice bright blue eggs!
