It happened to me, too many chickens

Im starting to become a crazy chicken lady myself. I have 16 in a big coop with a nice run right now. I also have a smaller eclosed coop and run that i am contemplating what to do with. Should i start a flock of bantums? Maybe get a few ducks? My husband suggests geese or guineas to " watch dog" the others, and then there's the question of pheasants or quail? The possibilities are confounding. Decisions, decisions....and next Spring he is talking about piglets and cattle!! What have i started!!??

Piglets are fine, but I would suggest a couple of dairy buffaloes over cattles. I trust them much more than I trust cows. They have a much stronger bond with their owners. Here is a pic of my little sister with a year and half old buffalo heifer.

Are you my twin? We have 18 in a big coop, with a smaller pre-fab one that is just sitting there waiting for something to be put in it. I want to keep it for a chicken hospital, but my hub wants quail and ducks, and he is already clearing land for cattle and talking about pigs. ha ha! I think we are both in DEEP!

I am laughing my head off at all these very clever responses ! I have but two gals in my back yard coop! and would so love to have more .Hubby gets worried when ever I go to the feed store to get more treats and food for my gals. Some day I hope to live on a farm. I love Chicken Math and the many reasons given to keep these crazy birds. I am under the Chicken effect. I have one question, is it over the top to decorate my coop with those tacky rooster paintings that I find at the Goodwill?
